USC Wind ensemble - Bovard auditorium, LOs angeles, ca

2016-17 Season *Check back for announcement of specific date*

I'm honored to announce my newest piece, Seep, was selected for performance next season by the USC Wind Ensemble. This comes as a result of their annual New Music for Wind Ensemble Readings which took place March 28, 2016. Please check back for an announcement of the specific date of performance when it is determined.

Taking a foreboding tone, Seep reflects on recent environmental tragedies which have had a devastating impact on local communities, such as the Flint water crisis and Porter Ranch gas leak. These kinds of events should alert and remind us all that they can happen anywhere but will happen with increasing certainty unless lessons are learned and action is taken.

Currently in the process of writing a new work for viola and piano tentatively titled 5 Romances. Recently, I've been fascinated by the challenge of reinterpreting the 19th Century Romanze. Each movement will look at the character of Romanze from a different perspective and allows me the opportunity to further refine my interpretation of lyricality, sentimentality, and, perhaps even, naivety.
